 A warm welcome to all skaters and their families as we begin the 2008-2009 Skating Season. We want to thank our team of dedicated coaches who continually strive to deliver top-notch quality programs. There is still time for you to sign up for the 2008-2009 season. We have an exciting season planned and would like you to be a part of it. About Our ClubThe Point Edward Skating Club was incorporated in January 1961. Our skating is held in the Point Edward Arena. As we come into our 47th season of operation, our positive learning environment continues to provide the opportunity to enjoy skating for fun, fitness and personal achievement. Our club promotes quality recreational and competitive skating in the village of Point Edward and surrounding communities. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful coaching staff and an active slate of volunteers who make this club such a great place to skate. Our skaters progress well throughout the various programs offered and have a lot of fun at the same time. Some skaters continue into the figure skating stream, participating in Skate Canada's test program and compete in competitions on local, National & International levels. Our Programs include:
As with most non-profit clubs, we operate on volunteer power and fund-raising. We depend on volunteers to help out with the administration of the club, fund-raising, special events, test days, carnival and competitions. The PESC is operated by a volunteer board made up of parents, and one coach's representative. These volunteers are the core of our organization. Board of Directors (2008-2009)
